Welcome to the heart of Corbett National Park — the legendary Dhikala zone, celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes and rich wildlife.
Established in 1936, Corbett is India’s first national park and continues to inspire generations of wildlife photographers and nature lovers.
The Dhikala region, set deep within the park’s core, is an ideal place to witness the magic of the wild — from the iconic Bengal tiger to herds of elephants, leopards, and a spectacular variety of birds. The landscape unfolds with dense Sal forests, grassy meadows, and sweeping views of the Ramganga River — a haven for crocodiles, gharials, and countless species that flourish along its banks.
Access to Dhikala is through Dhangari Gate, around 18 km from Ramnagar. After clearing the entry formalities, you begin a scenic 31 km drive to the Dhikala Forest Rest House (FRH) — a journey that feels like a mini-safari in itself, often offering sightings of elephants, deer, and even the elusive tiger along the way.
